Alton C. Hale, Jr., brings more than 21 years of trial experience to the firm. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, he focused on civil litigation on behalf of companies and individuals with a law firm based in Stuart, Florida. He represented clients in litigation matters throughout the United States. While at that firm for more than 13 years, he secured total recoveries in excess of $80 million on behalf of individuals and businesses.
Upon graduating from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1993, Mr. Hale served as an Assistant State Attorney in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties in Florida’s Treasure Coast. As a prosecutor in the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit, he was lead attorney in more than 60 jury trials.
Mr. Hale continues to litigate cases involving first party insurance claims, business litigation, and construction litigation in addition to catastrophic injury and wrongful death throughout Florida and the United States. He is admitted to practice by The Florida Bar, The District of Columbia Bar, The North Carolina Bar, The Mississippi Bar, as well as before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, Chancery Court of Mississippi, U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern District of Mississippi, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western District of North Carolina, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1993 and a Bachelor of Science with Honors from the University of Florida in 1990.
